So against our better judgement (the dealership has a shady reputation in town) my husband and I went to Deland Kia because of a trade in deal they offered. My husband wanted to upgrade from his Soul to a bigger Sorrento. We had a fine time at the dealership, and mentioned a few things that would have to be fixed on the used Sorrento. One of them being that the tires looked bad. The sales manager ran it by the service department and he said, they said, the tires were fine. We still had apprehensions about them, so he agreed to sell us tires at cost when the time came, which we agreed to. Fast forward roughly 2 months to the first oil change....the service tech comes out and tells my husband all his tires are DRY ROTTED...My husband talks to the sales manager who informs him that techs have to say things like that to make a little money! My husband point blank asks him if he's calling his techs liars or if he is the liar, and the sales guy try's to back track....Husband lets the techs know what the sales manager thinks of them, gets his car, and leaves. Now we need the tires, so my husband gets the parts guys and says the tires should be at cost, and they quote him a price. For fun I called in anonymously to get the price as well, and surprise surprise, I'm quoted the same price! Husband confronts the parts manager about it and he starts saying things like "cost has many meanings"'"'I have to work in the price for the power bill and paying my techs"....Ummmmm that's called mark up, that's called retail, not cost. So, now here we are looking for our contract. My husband was sold an unsafe vehicle, and drove it for months with our 1 &1/2 year old in it, and these guys want to play games.

It Was YOUR Choice

If your husband drove a car for a year and a half with unsafe tires, it quite obvious HE DECIDED to do this and YOU went along with it! If you saw the tires were bad BEFORE you bought the car, why did YOU AGREE to buy it that way? If they refuse to fix it, then you don't buy the car! How obvious is that? If you know you are carrying children in a car with unsafe tires, common sense dictates you take it upon yourself to get new tires. Failure to do that is YOUR DECISION and not theirs! The kids are yours, not theirs! One more thing, sentences don't begin with "so".
