Dialogue Direct is a company responsible for face to face fundraising for Children International, which is a major international charity that does what they say they do... namely help children in poor countries.

Do not confuse the two.  Children International is a stellar organization that does a lot of good for a lot of people in need.  If you want to sponsor a child with them do so by going to their website www.children.org

During my time as an employee of Dialogue Direct, I personally witnessed my boss, a campaign manager sexually harass employees, asking for phone numbers, asking inappropriate personal questions, inviting girls to stay with him at his flat in brazil etc.  More concerning however is the company's policy towards work hours.  I have personally witnessed this company limit maximum working hours paid to 35, even though employees worked overtime and were not compensated for it.

Public Outreach is a similar company that does similar work, if you absolutely MUST canvass because the economy is so bad that you have no other choice, I would reccommend them instead.
