Before you consider purchasing an overpriced product, know that, according to Wikipedia, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diamond_Resorts_International, "Diamond Resorts has a policy of not allowing points owners to forfeit their points when they are not able to pay the maintenance fees that increase every year. Some offer their points for a dollar or less on eBay just to avoid the fees."  I say again, for a dollar or less.  The maintenance fee on only 7,500 points is $1,500/year.

Wikipedia also correctly states,  "A" Better Business Bureau rating, even so Diamond Resorts International does not have Better Business Bureau accreditation.  Please be aware that Arizona Toursim Center is the marketing arm of Diamond in Sedona which offers enticements to attend a Diamond timeshare sales presentation.

  1. Arizona Tourism Center
    50 E. Cortez Rd., Sedona, AZ 86351
  2. Arizona Tourism Center
    841 SR 179, Sedona, AZ 86336
  3. Arizona Tourism Center
    276 SR North 89A, Space G Sedona, AZ 86336
  4. Arizona Tourism Center
15 Cultural Park Place, Sedona, AZ 86336

It is our strong recommendation that no potential buyers sign any contract with Diamond unless 1) you are thoroughly convinced that you want to waste your money on an overpriced product with high maintenance fees or 2) you will take time to review all documents and make a decision within in the very short contract rescission period - 7 days in Arizona.

Diamond will not permit contract rescission beyond the stated rescission period.  We requested contract rescission 72 hours after the rescission deadline and were rebuffed at every level, from Chairman of the Board, Stephen J Cloobeck's office down.

Diamond Timeshare Properties

AUTHOR: DeborahM - ()

POSTED: Friday, March 14, 2014

There are good timeshare properties out there. However, most of them have a waiting list of qualified buyers to purchase when the owners decide to sell.....If it’s being heavily promoted, pushed or tarted up to look good, assume its trash and don't waste your time. If you want a good time share, you will still have to pay for it but go through legitimate channels..
