We are having the same problems as GO the difference is we still have an outstanding loan. We also bought in Sedona and let ourselves be talked into something we should never have bought. The TS we used was owned by us free and clear. We too ran into financial difficulties and tried to give the property back. Not sell just give back. Answer was no until maint fees pd. Paid as long as I could am now going on 5 months late and they are talking about foreclosure. Went on twitter was told to email customer service this is the response we got backDear Mr. and Mrs. Estes:

Thank you for contacting Diamond Resorts, bringing your concerns to our attention and for allowing us the opportunity to respond.  I apologize that we are missing each other; as such, I am replying via email.

This email is in response to your email requesting relinquishment of your contract number 2004217.  First and foremost, we regret to hear of your financial hardship and we can certainly empathize.  We hope that this improves very quickly for you. Unfortunately, we are unable to consider your account for a hardship (voluntary surrender), as you maintain an open and active loan.  This loan must be brought current, or it will eventually foreclose. We are unable to stop this process or place your account on hold. The loan account is delinquent for May, June, July, August and coming due for September.   Once the loan is brought current, please contact me directly at 1-702-823-7091 and we can discuss possible payment options for your delinquent maintenance fees, in the amount of $ 3,740.46.

We hope this information has been helpful.  Should you have further questions regarding this matter, or would like your payment options, please contact me directly.  Diamond is committed to providing you with the information you need in order to make informed decisions.  In every interaction you have with us, we want you to have the peace of mind that you are receiving the best Diamond experience possible.  Please feel free to contact Customer Service at 1-877-374-2582 if you have any account-specific concerns or questions regarding this information as they would be more than happy to assist you.

Respectfully,

Jessica Curtis | Specialist | Hospitality Management | Diamond Resorts | Tel: 702.823.7091 | Fax: 702.684.8712  Obviously if I could catch my payments I wouldn't be having trouble. This is the worst mistake we have ever done. If anyone knows how to get out of this please let us know and if there is any kind of class action suit sign us up!! Oh btw we looked at selling it and couldn't even get a third of what we paid for it.

please consider the environment before printing this email
