In 2001 I bought a studio condo at Los Abrigados in Sedona. In 2005 this was upgraded to a 2BR every other year week. Total cost $15,000.00. Due to health and scheduling problems I have seldom used the condos. I have recently become aware that I am being Scammed! Primarily due to changes in maintenance fees and conditions implemented after the takeover by Diamond International.

I cannot sell this unit nor can I give it away, at 84 and no longer traveling I am informed that my deed will continue as an obligation to my heirs. I am informed that to get rid of this obligation (which increases EVERY year), I must pay at least $4000.00 to one of several agency's who profit from this scam.

I have tried to donate the deed to Charity, to sell it back to Diamond (a real joke, although when I bought the unit Los Abrigados routinely bought and resold units). I have requested help from the Nevada Attorney General, the BBB, and investigated several agencies, which for a fee (from $4000.00 to $8000.00), will re-assign the deed. I am considering hiring a Nevada Attorney, but I know the cost will be prohibitive. Non of these agencies have provided suggestions for relief.

I would appreciate feedback and suggestions from others in this trap or who have found a way out!. It is disgraceful that the State of Nevada allows such a disgrace. If there is any Class Action or other litigation against Diamond I would like to join it.
