Buyer...Beware if you plan on consummating any type of time share agreement with Diamond Resorts International.

They are sharks just waiting to devour unsuspecting and/or naïve consumers by attempting to hook you for life with exorbitant maintenance fees, legal deeds to properties that may exist today but be gone tomorrow, and smooth talking salespeople who should be required to take courses in Business Ethics, Values, and Morality.

My wife and I originally belonged to Grand Monarch Resorts and we loved the company. Unfortunately, the owners did not know how to properly manage their company due to greed, avarice, and improper use of company assets. What happened? Diamond Resorts International swam in, swallowed all of the dying and bankrupt Grand Monarch Resorts and it was all downhill from there.

Yesterday, Jan 2, 2015, we attended a meeting with some of the sales associates at the Can Cun Resort in Las Vegas, NV. We were told it would only take an hour and all it consisted of was a simple survey. Well, we walked into a room, sat down with a person named Richard Casper and he proceeded to tell us how our Grand Monarch timeshare ownership was basically worthless and that our maintenance fees would increase by 85% over the next two years. He basically sat there and insulted us and our intelligence with erroneous lies and data that neither he nor anyone else could accurately state or predict. In addition, he wrote a subjective statement based on what he thought he heard us say, and asked us to sign it. We told him we would not sign his false statement and that we were not interested in hearing anymore of his baloney and proceeded to walk out. We were then introduced to another sales person who admitted that Richard made false statements to us. He tried to close the sale but he too was not completely honest with us and we finally just got up and walked out with him following us like some used car salesman trying to make a last ditch effort to sell us a package of goods wrapped in gold paper with questionable contents.

If you are looking for a time share, please do your homework, perform due diligence, and be aware that maintenance fees and taxes will haunt you for the rest of your life with the possibility that your time share “ownership” may become worthless over time based on the solvency, and economic health of the company that originally sold you the “deed”.
