The Diamond Sports Group offers these All-American games, where the players selected are supposedly the best in the US, and supposedly noticed by their recruiters at other events players participate at. For the event my son was selected from, it was at the Pro Football Hall of Fame this past July. However, the recruiters did not visually see him play as they claimed. They acquired a list from PFHOF. They also have their coaches bring players from teams they coach outside of this organization. My son played this week at the 13U level. His coach brought his coaches from his No Limit program, as well as at least eight of their players. Many of them were clearly not All-Americans.

During practices, the focus by the head coach was only on his players he brought with him. The coaches did not try to learn what skills the boys had on this team. Some players were put at positions they did not sign up for and were not listed for on the roster. Other players got little to no playing time, yet their parents paid $450 plus travel costs for them to participate. The CEO and president argue and belittle anyone that attempts to bring issues to them. They will also pull children off the teams if their parents express frustration with the program.

Also, we were all told to bring toys for the organization to donate. The organization made well over $400,000 on this event alone. They could have easily donated on their own with all the fees that were paid. Once you get there, you also have to lay for everything. You must pay per day to enter the field to see your player participate, if he even gets playing time. You are now allowed to record. You have to pay $25 for a disc for each game that your child plays in. This should be included with the fees paid. There was no media as promised. They aired the games on their Facebook and Instagram accounts, but they advertise that the game will have national media coverage, like it is with a legit TV channel or network. There were also zero scouts there, yet they try to get players there by stating they will have this exposure. We should have listened to the high school coach in our state whose football teams are always the top in our state each year. He said to stay away from Diamond Sports Group. I guess we chose to learn the hard way.

Stay away from this organization. Find free youth camps from colleges, or football programs that are sponsored by major brands. I am hoping to save someone the money and grief that we lost and endured.
