Leased a car for my daughter in 2011. When the lease was up we went to buy the car out due to the over mileage on the car and decided she really liked the car. After showing her this “fabulous” 2014 car they made a very appealing deal to her and she agreed to lease again. They bought her car and said they would pay the over mileage on the car and she is “free and clear” to lease a 2014. Oh wait… You want to keep the same payment? Well then they said you have to put 1800$ down in order to keep payments where they were. Wait let me speak to my manager.

Away to the “secret back room” to see if deal can be made but first initial this to show what you want your payment to be…. Huh? Umm ok? (Btw my husband and I own 5 vehicles and the only place that has a secret back room is Hyundai in Dickson city)

Ok long story short – she signed and gave them $1800 for this 2014 Hyundai elantra. 1 month later I got a letter stating I owed the over mileage on the 2011 Hyundai Elantra they bought back off me to get me into the 2014. When I called Greg (my sales guy) he said he talked to “ray” and it was simple mistake , not to worry, it’s all taken care of”.

Next month I get a second notice that my account on the 2011 is “past due” with interest! Husband and I personally went up and again Ray, Max, Carlos.. All the managers we asked to personally speak with never came out of the secret back room but again I was assured it was “taken care of”.

Long story short, I got a letter from the collection agency stating I am now in collections for the over mileage on the 2011 Hyundai Elantra they bought off me! Spoke with finance company and I called collections and was told to go up to dealership, request to be put on a conference call and we can straighten this out, if they bought the car they are responsible for the over mileage not me! Went up for the 3rd time and demanded to get on a conference call to straighten things out and get my name out of collections. I was denied a conference call and when ask for Carlos to come out of his secret back room from hiding I was told he can’t …? Really? I said why can’t he come out and speak like an adult to get this cleared up? Let’s make the call right here? Greg said “oh the computers are different in the back so he needs to stay there” umm ok? Then my husband and I will go back there and make the call? ” oh well it’s really busy there and dangerous ” my husband said ” really, what’s there a car on a lift back there that might fall on our heads?”.

We were denied! The coward finally came out after 2 hours of no resolution, calls were never made to clear the account for 3 months as they stated… Bottom line they are a bunch of liars…it’s a very shady place and they are hiding something!

My husband is in sales and said he has never ever came across a company that denies customers to speak with managers about accounts and errors. We have never ever been to a dealership like this and don’t plan on ever going back…. Except with my attorney if I get one more letter. I personally had make all the calls and the last call I made was to the collection themselves which called Carlos while I was on line and he agreed to pay the over mileage as they were in the wrong for not paying it in the first place and telling me it was “taken care of” as I hung up Greg called and told me ” we are still trying to figure things out” I said gee that’s funny because I was just on a call with collections and Carlos and he agreed to pay the over mileage? He had no idea what to say but still tried to talk his way through this. I basically said Greg there’s no need for me to be going back and forth with you over this, I see the truth and the lies, thanks for your help lol … Click…oh and by the way be careful how you speak to Carlos as he seems to think that when he asks you a question and you answer it it’s called badgering..lol… If you can’t take the heat Carlos you need to find a new job that you’re actually good at.

Liars always get defensive when caught red handed and denying a conference call to clear up the “he said she said” should tell a lot of people someone has something to hide! Otherwise it shouldn’t have been a problem. I never got one single apology, from them and their customer service is pathetic… I am going to file more complaints with the attorney generals office, better business bureau and whom ever else I can because this is unacceptable and I hope it helps other people in making decisions about buying a car from them.
