Digital Research ripoff! White Van Scam. Fort Lauderdale Florida

Typical van scam. Two guys in a van told a friend and me that they just got two extra speaker systems from work and that they wanted to sell them before they got to their destination in order to capitalize from their luck.

We pulled over to a gas station and talked for a minute. The boxes said that the speakers were $2000 retail. they agreed to sell the speakers to us for $200. They followed us to an ATM and said that they had just been called by their boss so they had to leave in a hurry. We were not able to check the speakers.

While the speakers do work, they are terrible. Definately not worth close to $200. "Digital Research" products are all a scam.
