On August 27, 2006 I purchased a diamond and sapphire ring from Dillard's Fine Jewelry department located in Auburn Alabama. The ring cost $1,100.87. During routine cleaning of my jewelry at another fine jewelry store in Montgomery Alabama, the jeweler informed me that the stones in my ring were "not real." Because I had plans to eventually trade my ring at a later time I retained the original receipt. During the second week of April I spoke with the store manager to lodge my initial complaint. I was provided the name of a jewelry "vendor" and informed at that time it was "leased by Finley" and provided a 1-800 number to call. I informed the store manager the ONLY reason I paid as much as I did for the ringI trusted the jewelry was Dillard's. There was no signage stating the jewelry was Finley but instead was advertised as Dillard's Fine Jewelry Department. Additionally, my receipt states Dillard's. I left feeling very taken advantage of however I did attempted to contact Finley. The number was disconnected or no longer in service. On April 26, 2012 I spoke with a representative from Corporate Dillard's who identified herself as "Brook." She took down my information and requested a copy of the receipt. I scanned a copy of the receipt and forwarded via outlook messaging. On May 2, 2012 I received a follow-up phone call from "Brook" who stated the case had been sent to their lawyer and the statute of limitation had run out. Additionally, "Finley" had gone bankrupt. There was nothing they were responsible for doing legally; however "would I like a $200.00 gift card?" Needless to say, I remain a VERY DISSATISFIED customer and don't want this to happen to any other unsuspecting individual(s). Any assistance you can provide will be greatly appreciated.

Sincerely, Tammy Harris
