Dinettes & Stools Fraudulent Business Practices II Herndon And Falls Church Virginia

Similar to other Rip-off Complaint dated 9/8/2007, I ordered a kitchen table & chairs to be manufactured by a Canadian company in early July 07. I started aclling after about 10 weeks to see the status of my order. I was asked to leave my name and phone number and was promissed a call back regarding the status. After two days hadd passed, I called again and again was told that the person I needed to talk to was not there and to leave my name and number again. After about 20 repeated calls to Dinnettes & Stools, I finally got a hold of the owner who said he would have to call the Candian Manufacturer to get a status. He never called back.

I saw the Rip-off Complaint posted 9/8/2007 and realized that this was happening to me too so I called the owner of Dinnettes & Stools again and explained that others had the same issue I had and it was posted in the internet. The owner then promptly offered to return my deposit with out further explanation. I agreed and he said he would send me the check the next day. After waiting a week for the check to arrive in the mail, I called the owner again, tracking him down at the Falls Church Store. He promissed me that he mailed it to me a week early, but this time I demanded the check in person the next day. I picked the check the next day (14 weeks after ordering the kitchen table & chairs).

Dinnettes & Stools never explained why my order was never completed and held on to my large deposit (earning interest on my money) for about 5 months. I am sure they never placed my order as they did not hesitate to refund the deposit. If they had ordered it, they would not have done this.

I also ordered the exact furniture from a different retailer and am expected to have the furniture in 6 - 7 weeks.

DO NOT ORDER Furniture from DINNETTES & STOOLS.
