I am a disabled Veteran, and for years now, I have been fighting the VA for
denial and reductions of benefits.
The DAV says that they can help Veterans file claims and navigate the VA bureaucracy.
Every time I ask for help they tell me that they can only advise me. I paid them to be a member.
and they are no help in anyway.
All they want is donations so they can take trips and fancy vacations,
that they are more them happy to tell you about in the DAV news letters and magazine.
I was told today by a DAV rep that they could not help me with my claim.
Not help write an appeal letter or anything in that manor.
They only can tell me what I need to do. I know what I have to do. I need expert help
doing it.
The DAV is a con and a ripoff. If any Veterans out there is
considering to join or reach out for guidance and help. I advise you not to look
to the DAV for help. all you will get is the run around and grief.

I am a DAV Service Officer and I help a lot of veterans with their claim. If they say they can't help you then go to another DAV service officer in another town. You were not very forthcoming with your claim details so I can't say if they were right in their decision not to assist. Need more communications to see if it would be possible to assist you.
