I placed an order with Discount Auto Mirrors who by the way run many other business under many different names. The say "exact fit guaranteed" on their web site and packaging but they will not honor any guarantee. They sent the wrong part which I had to send back at my expense then they charged me a restocking fee. I ordered the part off their web site which showed the correct model and make of vehicle and showed the item to be in stock then a day or two later I would receive an e-mail saying the order was canceled due to the part was not in stock. After many attempts finally the part was in stock and it was shipped and received. Being the wording on the package was "Exact Fit Guaranteed" and the fact that I was leaving town for six weeks with out the vehicle the part was for I did not attempt to install the part until I returned from my vacation. Upon opening the package surprise the part for another model of the vehicle manufacturer. I called to get their required return authorization and I was given the ok and to expect an e-mail with the return authorization code and return instructions. Then a few days later I received an e-mail denying the return as it was over the 21 day period. After many calls to explain the situation I was gain given the return approval. Many days later I received an e-mail that they would charge me a restocking fee, I again called and requested a supervisor, I explained the situation to again and after being put on and off of hold for eternity he stated I would be given a full refund, as they shipped the incorrect part. Weeks later I have still have not seen a credit applied to my credit card I called again and was told it would be issued soon but they were not going to honor the supervisors word they were going to charge me the restocking fee. I called to inquire again and asked for a supervisor I was put on with the meanest nastiest woman they could dig out of her basement cubicle who told me do what ever you feel you have to or can do but that is the way it is going to play out they are charging me the restocking fee regardless. Their web site is now updated for my vehicle showing they do not stock the correct part for my vehicle.
To sum up the story they state Correct Fit Guarantee but they will not honor it. By the time you pay the return postage and you get a partial credit they have had your $$ for months and it cost me of the initial order amount. In the past in dealing with similar shoddy businesses I have taken the time to file a formal complaint with the State Department of Consumer Protection . If this were a larger matter I would do so again as in the past they brought a shoddy company to their knees with some significant fines and resulting full refund. This company is not worth dealing with BEWARE

Well, I should have read THIS report BEFORE I ordered a mirror from them. I haven't even got the product yet and I can tell this is a business operation on the "Fringe" of SCAM!
First of all they don't list their address anywhere, and when you dial the number on their web site it always says "There are 30 customers waiting" which deters people from calling them to complain. They won't tell you that there is a $10 shipping fee, (for a 2lb. product) a $2.46 "Handling fee". And, because you don't know they're in Ca. (my home state) there is tax, so finally they are charging me over $16 to buy an $18 product! My complaint is, you don't know all this BEFORE you click on "PLACE ORDER". I normally NEVER buy something on the web unless I can see this info first, but they're site looked so "Professional" ,so friendly, I got sucked in. Now they have my CC # and it's already charged so I hope I'm not just another victim of my own stupidity! This just supports the old addage..."Never buy anything without checking RIPPOFF REPORT!
