I believe that I have become part of a scam. About a year ago, I answered an ad to become a secret shopper. When I signed up, the company took my credit card number and told me that I had 10 days to cancel my "free trial" to the two services that they provide -- Shopper Select and DRI Surplus. I immediately checked out their product online and determined that it was not for me, so I called the company back up to cancel within the 1st hour. I was told my trial was canceled and that I would not receive any charges.

I recently discovered that they have been charging me $49 monthly on my credit card! When I called the card company, they connected me to DRI Surplus who stated that when you call to cancel, only one account is canceled and you still are subscribed to the other service, though at no time during the setup process did they say that I would have to call separately to cancel the two service -- they made it sound like the services went together. When I canceled Shopper Select, I was not informed that there were additional cancelations that had to be made to avoid being charged. At no time did they tell me that I was dealing with two separate companies.

I never received any information from DRI Surplus, and am not even sure what they do, since I never intended to sign up for anything with them. I believe that this company is engaging in bad business practices and that they are running a scam to auto-bill unsuspecting consumers credit cards. Their "terms of service" and "cancelation policies" were never clearly stated.
