Drivers Choice Stole my money Oakland Park Florida

I purchased a 2003 ford focus on July 7th, 2009. I was in need of a car fast so I went to this place because the guy was so eager to help. Anyway, after I purchased the car and I put $700 down, he then proceeds to tell me that I need to pay another $720 for taxes and license etc.. I already told him that I had plates to transfer. He said that wouldnt work. ( no idea why). So I took the car, and exactly 2 weeks later he shows up at my door asking for the keys because I wouldnt pay him $720 for the plate fee. He calls it a pick up payment. I dont understand why I should pay for a new plate when I had one to transfer. So he takes the car and my $700 down payment..... I had the car 2 weeks
