My car was towed to Eastex after being involved in an accident on Sunday night. On Monday afternoon I arrived at Eastex to pay towing services and prevent any further storage charge.

The representative advised me that in order for Eastex to release my belongings, I needed to sign a "release".  Don't be fooled! Little did I know, the paperwork I signed basically gave Eastex power of attorney over my car!

Once i got my things out, the representative told me that the storage charges would stop. I told the representative i would not commit to the repairs at Eastex because they weren't a State Farm approved service provider. I told him to call me once the adjuster came and, at that point, I would make a decision.

The adjuster arrived on Thursday and unbeknown to Eastex disassembled my car because the paperwork i signed gave them the "authority" to do so. However, my car should have remained in tact until I selected a repair shop of my choice.

Once the adjuster left, the rep called me to advise me that the damages were accessed at $8000, at which point Eastex wanted to begin repairs, although i told them i was not planning to use them.

I called to tell Eastex that state farm would pick up my car and tow it to my selected shop. At that time they started tacking on extraneous fees that they said would not be charged. They started charging me for storage for all the days they said I wouldn't be charged.

Later that day, the wrecker from state farm arrived at Eastex. Eastex then told me i had to sign a release form within the next 30 minutes or else i wouldn't be able to pick it up until Monday, even though they knew I lived on the other side of town. They said i would be charged storage fees over the weekend.

I attempted to speak to the manager, but he was not available. They were contacted by State Farm and continued to be uncooperative. State Farm picked up the weekend storage charges.

Later that day, the manager contacted me and pleaded for my business, aka my $8000. I told him that he could do nothing to retain my business there. I explained to him how i had been wronged by his company and there was absolutely nothing he could do to get me to repair my car at their facility. They had been dishonest and misleading from the get go. I would be a fool to trust them to repair 8000 worth of damages to my car in a safe and effective way.

Bottom line is these guys are a bunch of crooks!!!
