Purchasing a home from Eastwood Homes from out-of-state (3 hours difference) on Saturday 10/21/2017 confirmed unit in Savannah Townes in Charlotte, NC at 9:39am over the phone and reached an agreement to purchase the unit. Kenya replied that she would send the contract later in the day. At 3pm our Realton in NC talks with the sales person Kenya about the unit, purchase and details for the contract. The suprise was received by email at 4:34pm stating that they had a good sales day and our unit - same one confirmed in the morning, provided check image, etc. that the price was increased by $1,500 more. So unprofessional! Not sure if this behavior is supported by the builder, either way is unethical.

No, we currently don't have a contract with the builder (Eastwood Homes) but that is not the whole story. We signed the purchase agreement, despite much undue pressure by the builder, but they didn't follow through with signing the contract and finalizing the deal. Because of my posting denouncing their behavior and bad business practice they retaliated by not honoring the offer price and revoking the contract. Their intentions were never to honor their offer and later pressure us to buy at an inflated price. I even got the "Mutual Release and Revocation of a Prior Agreement to Purchase Real Estate" document from the builder. I hope that my story is read by potential costumers and show their business practices.

Eastwood Homes has no contract with any individual from Arizona for this community. Rip off Report should require evidence of a contract prior to allowing postings.
