When I booked a hotel in Oxnard, CA through Expedia (I thought), the final booking agent was EASYTOBOOK.COM. I waited for an e-mail confirmation that never came--fortunately I had a screen print of the reservation record. This company immediately charged my credit card company for the payment.

This week, due to illness I had to cancel my travel plans.  I was easily able to cancel my other hotel reservations, but when I called EASYTOBOOK on Monday, a rude person with a heavy accent told me I could only cancel on line using the pin number in the confirmation e-mail. When I told her I never got the e-mail, she said she would re-send it.

I still didn't get the e-mail three days later, so I called EASYTOBOOK again. This time I threatened to report them to my credit card company for fraud if they didn't cancel my reservation at once. The agent said she normally wasn't allowed to do it over the phone, but would do it in this case--and would send my cancellation confirmation by e-mail to both my personal and work e-mail addresses. So far, I haven't seen this e-mail, either.

I later called the hotel directly to see if the cancellation went through, and was told that it hadn't yet.  More disturbing, I was also told that Expedia was the booking company on record, linked to my reservation number, not EASYTOBOOK.

Hopefully the cancellation will go through; and hopefully, my credit card will be credited for the advance payment.

I work closely with customer service representatives daily in my work, and I've been successfully making on-line travel reservations--and cancellations--for years, but I've never dealt with a company as unprofessional and unresponsive as this one. Next time, when I book an online reservation, I'll definitely make sure this isn't one of them.
