called in my order for 6 adult & 2 child size bottles. had difficulty completing order because they kept trying to sell me more stuff?? Received bottles with no invoice and was not really impressed with the bottle but thought they weren't that expensive until we received our credit card statement for $246.44. called them and the call was disconnected. had to go on line only to find out the hidden costs and the fact that they had upgraded the order. they did not pay $86 shipping-handling fees. it came in one box for less than $10. now they want almost $40 to restock but the 30 days ends tomorrow. am afraid if i return them i won't get a credit on my bill and then i have nothing but an expensive lesson. we got majorly burned and will never order anything again via phone or internet.

Hello Dee,
We try to take special care to ensure that our offer and costs are clearly stated up front. Per our offer the EcoCanteen is $9.99 plus $5.95 shipping/handling and comes with a bonus insulated tote plus the shipping of $4.95 (the totes retail for an upwards of $12- $15 each). All together one adult bottle with an insulated tote comes to $20.89, which is less than Klean Kanteen and other competitors weve price checked, and their prices do not include a tote. Customers are also asked if they would like to upgrade to a deluxe model that has a stainless steel lid and lifetime guarantee for an additional $7.95 each. The Kids EcoCanteen is $8.95 plus $4.95 shipping/handling and $4.95 shipping/handling for the tote. Never Spill Pull Tops (sports lids) are $4.95 and have no Shipping and Handling. And there is also an offer for rush shipment which is a flat rate of $7.84 in addition to the regular Shipping and Handling. We do have a few upsells but EcoCanteen has always made them optional, customers simply need to answer YES to accept the upsell or NO to decline it. Without further information it is hard to determine what was on the order to total out at $246.44, but wed love to go over the order with you and help you if possible, we just ask that you call us to discuss the order.
