Econo Lodge Does not honor room rate posted on highway sign ripoff Knoxville Tennessee

I was passing through Knoxville, Tennessee on the way home from a business trip, where I decided to bed-down for the night. The sign clearly posts a price of $37.99 per night for a room. I try to check in, and the clerk tried to charge me $49 for the room and refused to honor the posted rate.

Several other motels in the Knoxville area are also engaging in the same false-advertising tactics, but I am citing Econo Lodge because it was the first one I stopped at.

I am writing this report using the Internet access from another motel that honored their posted rate.
