Had oil change done today and was overcharged for the service. I had the same service with the same vehicle 2 weeks ago and paid $24.53 for basic oil change. Today I had to pay $27.98 for the exact same service. The difference being that the manager charged me for and extra liter of oil.
When I questioned him he told me that they had made a mistake on the last visit and I got a deal then. I have owned this van for almost 3 years and have never paid for extra oil.
They could not sell me more so they got a few dollars extra by cheating me.
For the sake of $3.45 they have lost a customer that would have 2 oil changes a month on average or $588.00 in sales.

I know it pretty chicken but they quote you a price for 5 qts of oil. Some of my vehicles take 5.5 or even 6 qts. Usually the guys are pretty good about it and just make a comment about how we're giving you an extra .5 or 1 qt. What a guy. Some of the deisel vehicles take 7-7.5 qts. The truck behind me was deisel and they quoted him $49 versus my $19, for 2-3 qts more, but I don't know anything about deisels. Depends on the place you take it. One place was going to charge me $5 to top off my radiator. Told him to forget it, I can buy a whole gallon for $5. Some places will always try and nickle and dime you to death. Those are the places I avoid. $3.45 cost them hundreds of in the long run. Dumb.
