This company claims to have the lowest car rental prices worldwide.  When you use a search engine for rental cars, they do appear to be the best price. They also claim to include items like damage waiver that others charge extra for.  Their web site also says that the price quoted is the "Total price" "Taxes included."

Once you make the booking and made a partial payment, they send you an email with your voucher attachede.  You are to present the voucher and pay the car provider the amount specified on the voucher.

The voucher has a small print line that says "local taxes may be additional."

When you present the voucher to the local car provider, they add on the "local taxes."  At some airports, this amount is substantial and can increase the actual cost by 50% to 100%.

I claim that the company uses a bait-and-switch tactic because the true cost, including all taxes and charges of the rental is deliberately understated to induce the customer to make the booking with them.

All other car rental providers disclose the full cost of the rental period up front so customers can make an informed decision.

Booking Group and it's various web fronts are, in my experience, engaging in dishonest business practices.

I asked for a refund of the "surprise" taxes I was forced to pay and the company told me that I was given the voucher early enough to cancel if I didn't like the wording. In other words, buyer beware!

the charges are applied according to the rental conditions. You have received the last voucher on ​
