Transpwerfactory
Ed Lucas and Roger at the Transpowerfactory, ripped me off. I am a thirty year Veteran retired September 2007. 28 December 2006 commenced my nightmare with the above mentioned company.
I was stationed in Italy when my transmission went out on our 1998 Dodge Grand Caravan. Roger stated he could send me one within 10 days. I provided everything needed to ship the correct transmission (e-mails confirmed). He deducted the $1,048.09 out of my account without even sending me the transmission.
Finally after many long distance phone calls and additional shipping fees, I was sent the transmission in February 2007. Those delays cost me over a thousand dollars in storage fees for the van. I also had to rent a car.
At the time 5 of my 7 children were visiting and we could not travel together. Once receiving the transmission, I discovered through my mechanic, that he had sent the wrong one; in fact, all of the parts required to install the transmission were not with the item. He had stated in a previous e-mail prior to my receiving the transmission that it would have all of the other parts for installation.
He told me via many phone conversations that He messed up, and would reimburse my money. He also said, It would cost him more to send the transmission back, so I should just keep it. He has told the same story to my Attorney here at home and has even told my Attorney that he would pay me back at $150.00 per month. He has not.
The dates below are my phone calls with Ed Lucas while overseas. At least the ones I documented. 20th of February, March 27th, 28th, 29th, and 30th. . April 4th, 5th, 6th, 11th, 16th, and 17th. Since retiring and retuning to the states I have contacted him twice through my Attorney.
Whatever the reason for not wanting to refund my money, he has not expressed. He always says, Yep I owe you the money, I am sorry and I will put it in your account, or I am sending it out in a cashier check. He has never called me back and he has never repaid a penny.
He has been provided all of my numbers in the states.
He also stated that he had reimbursed us for shipping when in fact it was our credit card company that gave us the money back for shipping after we filed a complaint. With all of his lies, deceit, and delays we were too late to file for the rest of the money. He still owes my family $1,321.87.
This is a smooth talking Rip Off artist that needs to be closed down. I have never met anyone like these to individuals.
