Elance Closed my Account for a reason they will not provide to me. Close my Provider Account. No specifics. Took what I paid for with my subscription cost. Mountainview California

I used Elance as a freelancer to supplement my income.  I am a 58 year old single mom to a 13 year old, and have arthritis that is so bad, I cannot work. 

I hate it, but my mind works fine.  Honestly, I really enjoyed Elance, I did NOT find it a scam.  You have to use it carefully.  I established a good reputation on Elance and I had repeat clients for my work.  In Elance, you get a rating from clients, and my clients rated me highly.  It was working well.  I paid my $20.00 to Elance monthly for a long time and accumulated what they call "connects", which is the way to bid on jobs posted by clients.  I had quite a few of these connects accumulated.

In September, Elance sends me this email, out of the clear blue sky:

 Hello _______,

Our system routinely flags for review accounts associated with disputes, client concerns, poor feedback, or evidence of moving work off the platform. Unfortunately, a recent review of your account identified an unusually high number of these issues. As a result, your account has been closed.

For more information on why this action was taken, please refer to these FAQs.

We regret any disappointment this decision may cause and wish you all the best in your future endeavors.

I had one dispute, no poor feedback and never moved work off the platform (which means that you do the work "off to the side" with the client).  I never did any of these things.  I've tried to dispute through customer support, only to be sent another email that their decision is final and if I write again, there will probably be no response.

So, Elance, you closed my account for some ambiguous reason that you do not need to give me, at whatever point in time you choose, taking away the accumulated service connects that I paid for, along with one of my only sources of support myself.  Thanks, I'm now selling anything of value in my house (the pickings are getting slim), in order to keep my house.

Why?  There is something is wrong with this cancellation policy and I will do what I can to question it and warn others.

I'd like to hear from others who may have had the same situation.
