I had a GetSmart mastercard that was transferred to Emerge. What a rip-off this company is!!
I never had a problem while my account was with GetSmart, however since Emerge has had the account my balance just keeps getting HIGHER and HIGHER. And I'm not even using it.
One month they say they never received the payment and they add a late fee, and then the next month they said that it was received but did not clear until after the due date -another late fee- .
Does this sound like a pattern? I pay over the min. payment every month and my balance just keeps growing. I don't know what to do?

I closed my Emerge account about 2 years ago. I have been making payments every month to bring it down. It's still almost the same as when I closed my account.
I've noticed that they either dont't send you a bill so you will forget your due date and then they double the amount or they send it to you a day or two before it's due. This company should be out of business and brought before a court, judge and jury. It is horrible. I am at my wits end at this point.
