My experience at empire was nothing of what i expected!!While i was in the middle of going to empire i was also dealin with a landlord that just up and left and i was gettin put out!!..After getting signs put on the place i was renting i realized i reallyhad to move.!At the same timea sibling was suffering from stage 4 cancerand i just mentally wasnt there tocontinue school at that point and time.! After telling the "person in charge" at my school and keepingthem posted while i was missing days here and thereto look n view new places to stay,i asked to be dropped and i would come back when im ready.!! I WAS TOLD NO because i was so close tobeing done...whilemy loansstill had one more payment forthem to make toempire i felt like thats all they kept worring about!!..They wouldnt let me sign any papers to drop myself and then comes the funeral andi couldnt go back! which caused them to drop me!!..2months later i try to re-enroll to find out i can no longergo to that campus because "all my time was used"which i still dont understand!!So sinceAPRIL of 2010 i have been goin back and forth trying to get re-enrolled atanother campus and they have been giving me the run-around like crazy! I get a copy of my hrs and before i left school they told me i had about 100 hrs left..on the copy it says i have over 300 left...im just soo fed up!!They let people graduate that would clock in and leave school and come back only to clock back out!The teachers would smoke out back with the students while clients are on the salonfloor and its not their lunch break,i had my things stollen, the students are teaching the teachers how to do ethnic hairstyles and make up,i have been denied corporate address and phone #'s...etc it goes on and on..for all the money i have to pay back i jus want to atleast finish the rest of my hours and for them to fix my hours!!iI need help and please take these un-professional people out before they bring empire down,I shouldnt even had been dropped like that due to my circumstances that just hurt me alot, empire made me second guess my passion for cosmetology, but i wont let them get away with what they did to me!!I WANT ANSWERS,and my problems RESOLVED AND FIXED!!

Little One Sided There

AUTHOR: Heide - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, September 10, 2011

As a Cosmetology Instructor in a different state I can not comment on the State Board regulations and requirements of your specific state, however there are some things that are universal based on Federal Funding that I can comment toward.

There are some things you stated that sound very "self entitled" on your part. I am in no way attempting to be rude, but there are laws and regulations regarding your attendance and your requirements that do not allow for personal tragedy and personal life altering event. You receive an allowance of missed time per contract. Some of the time alotted is set by the school, but a majority of the rules regarding attendance is set by your State Board and Financial Aid/Loans. You must adhere to those rules no exceptions.

This is where it can seem cruel... "But my Father/Mother/Brother/Sister etc. is DYING!? You can't offer me some kind of help regarding this?" The sad answer is No they can not. If you have used all of your alotted time off and you continue to be plagued with a string of tragedy? The contract and those agencies that police it are not sympathetic to anyones plight. They give no option for anything other than what is required by law. The worst part is, if you have a particular number of hours and you try to re-enroll either at the same school or a different one? Financial Aid and loans will not support you and will deny you.

You can thank those people who came before you and messed it up, because they proved time and again that if you behave in a particular way by missing time and not doing what is required, then you will drop out, or cause financial loss for the Government. This may not be true of you, but it is true for an overwhelming majority of students, and now you get to suffer for it.

As for time clock fraud? That is as old as the time clock itself. Clock in, bail out, come back and clock out. Despite what you may think that they "get away with it"? They don't. They will have nothing clocked for productivity, and will be marked absent by the Instructor. The hours get removed and no one knows about it but the Administration and the student. 9 times out of 10 the student who does this will deny getting caught and attempt to get others to do it to. It's silly, and it's frustrating, but it's the same at all schools. I think some students lay awake at night dreaming up creative ways to get around the laws.

There are some inappropriate things you have mentioned, such as fraternizing with students outside, and denying you drop papers.

To be specific, another school may not accept you because it hurts their bottom line, and messes with their funding to take on a student with too many hours from somewhere else, but they will never admit that out loud.

"DEATH SWEEPS"..."DEATH SWEEPS"..."DEATH SWEEPS".......

are being conducted by outside brokers to see if current and former bank employees died, so the executives at these banks can "cash-in" the BOLI policies (secret life insurance policies) on the deceased, according to a Ripoff Report.

*Just stay at this website and type in 411913 and read Ripoff Report #411913 for proof.

P.S. Make sure to 'Google' this- BANK EXECUTIVES PROFITING ON THE DEATH OF EMPLOYEES, and read the related articles that say Bank of America, Wells Fargo, & Chase, have a combined $45 Billion in these secret life insurance policies.

Thank You

but how is that the school's fault? Your letter is extremely hard to read but I see nothing that implicates the school.
