Enterprise Rental Cars Charging me for additional insurance Santa Monica California

I dropped my car off for repair work at a dealership near the Santa Monica Enterprise and they told me they would rent a car for me while my work was being done. They told me they would cover the cost of a rental and dropped me off at Enterprise. I did not know that I would be renting a car so now I was running late for work.

When I got to enterprise a woman at the desk was helping me. I told that because the dealership was paying for it I would not need any insurance from them or anything additional since I was not paying for the car. She asked me for my credit card and when I asked her why she told me she needed it in case I was in an accident.

When the car finally arrived, now I was running very late for my appointment I went outside to leave and the man told me he needed 4 initials. I asked him what I was initialling for and he told me I needed to, to take the car off of the lot. I know that I should have read the entire page, my fault for not reading what I was initialling but I also expected the employee to be honest with me and tell what I was initialling for and not that they were needed to drive off.

Enterprise charged my credit card for $111.86 after the car was dropped off. I did not know what the charge was for.

I finally received a call from the manager who told me what I had initialed for additional insurance on the car and that he could not help me. I have tried contacting the company on several occations and have been disconnected or not received a response by phone or email.

I have learned an expensive but was also lied to by an employee of this company and hope that by sharing this other consumers will read in deatail what is presented to them and not take the word of the employees working for the company itself.
