If you ever receive a promotion from Entertainment Publications LLC suggesting you sign up to receive this year's Entertainment Book free (usually they do this mid-year, so you only get several months' use out of it) in return for being placed on standing order for each new year's book, STAY AWAY!

We did this and found this once-great product had gone downhill considerably. Most of the offers involved burning more fuel than you would save using the coupon, and the number of local coupons had dropped to almost nil.

We received the first auto-shipped book, and paid for it since we'd agreed to do so. We called to request removal from automatic shipment, and were told we were taken off the list.

Guess what happened of course - we got the 2009 Entertainment Book and have spent countless hours trying to return it and get refunded the $30 charge.

We had to fight tooth and nail to get a customer service rep to agree to refund the charge in full. "Just send it back using the provided shipping label," he told us back in October.

We did return the book using Entertainment's own shipping label and packaging. Now they tell us they never received the return and "cannot refund the $30."

We will ask our credit card company to reverse the charge and prevent Entertainment Publications from ever charging our card again. We'll have nothing to do with Entertainment Publications again no matter what promotion they are running.

It's really sad to see how this once great product and company have degraded to a scam operation.
