We refinanced our house with Equity One in July 2002. We were told we could get a $6,000 loan when we did this. The day we signed the loan papers we were told there would be no loan because our house was not appraised high enough for a loan.

In Septmember 2002 our house insurance was cancelled due to non-payment. Equity One was supposed to be paying our house insurance and taxes. This was one of the reasons for refinancing.

In October 2002 my husband and I contacted the local Equity One office and could never reach anyone. We relayed messages with a man named Craig at this office, but the situation with the insurance was not corrected. So now we are paying the insurance ourselves as well as including this in the payment to Equity One.

In November 2002 a customer service rep called our house to find out why Equity One had not received our payment. This rep gave me the name Nancy Lancilotti and said to fax her about our problem. I faxed her the day before Thanksgiving and we have heard nothing from this company yet. It is now Decmeber 12, 2002.

Stay away from this company!
