I recently recd my verizon phone bill & found an unauthorized charge from ESBI for voice mail. I haven't signed up for such a service. I haven't tried to contact them for a refund since its a week-end but will the first of the wk.

#1 Consumer Suggestion

When you call ESBI . . .

AUTHOR: Popcorn - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, December 12, 2008

Expect them to insist that you did, indeed, sign up for this "service," probably on the Internet.

It happened to me. After going round and round a couple of times with the ESBI rep, with him insisting that I had signed up and me insisting that I had not, I told him that I was going to file a complaint with the FCC. He then changed his tune and said that I would get a refund.

It's too early to tell if he meant it. I guess I'll find out when I get my next Verizon bill.

I DID file a complaint with FCC because I consider this fraud.
