Echelon Telecom thinks it can keep your last paycheck when you resign. They literally sent me my last check showing my base salary and what I made on my commsions on accounts that I closed but the NET PAY WAS $0.00 When I was hired I was never told of this and was never told about the long waiting period to get paid on commisin which is 3 to 4 months.
Also they had us sales rep's going out selling without mentioning the fact that Integra had bought out Eschelon, so they had us lying to potential customers. Also they had us trying to sign up customers for Eschelon when they where already Integra customers. I would recommend that both Employee Wanabee's and potential customers stay far away from this company. Switching to Eschelon services is a big mistake. This company kept my hard earned money and I want you to know about it.

Sir from above...

I too am a former employee of Eschelon Telecom, and I'd like to set somethings straight. You were informed of their policies through your offer letter, I know because they informed me that if you quit or are fired you forfiet all future commission payments on your past accounts because they are considered company property. Second, I worked their during the acquisition, and what happened is the announcement came out in March, and the acquisiton of Eschelon did not close until August of 2007. Therefore, we ran "business as usual" operating two separate companies, who were competitors. And its common sales knowledge that if you are being acquired that you don't go aroung advertising that your company was purchased however, we were instructed if asked to tell the truth. I believe in the future sir you should read your offer letters more carefully and understand a companies compensation plan thoroughly before working. Also, because you weren't employed there long, I assume you recieved their "fast start bonus" which is $700 for completing training among other performance driven bonuses. If you are there less that a year it also states in your offer letter that they have the right to take that money back, which is why you net check was 0.
