I discovered an unauthorized $189.95 charge on Citi MC to ESSENTIALSGOLD with an 888-405-5356 CT return number.

Ensuing calls to the company gave me the run around: a machine that required my membership # (I had none!), phone #, and credit card I'd charged membership to! As if. Asked if I had a spouse also...?

When I actually reached 3 different live tellers - 1 in Canada (sounded like India), none were able to locate me and told me I had to give my credit card # to them if I wanted any information!

I told them my credit card company would be following up. They are.

Looks like I'm hardly alone in this scam...
