 I was looking for something that would help me meet a potential life partner, and after seeing many advertisements, I decided to give events and adventures a go. I should have walked out the minute I got there, it was too good to be true. They offered me water, coffee and made sure I was comfortable before having my fill out a slightly intrusive information form. I was then asked to come back. There was a woman that I spoke to, that now that I'm thinking about it,used similar car tactics as a car salesman. She first told me that there were lots of people my age that were looking for the same things as me (false). She also said that after the membership fee( an amount that was never disclosed to me during this time) the events would all be included other than a few. (Also false) She showed me all these amazing events such as camping and skydiving and the like. Seemed worth it. Howver, I was not told the cost until I agreed to pay a $100 down payment fee. After I commited to this, she told me it would be about $2000 over a period of 3years and that was the cheapest option. For roughly $100 a month, I would get to do all of these activities with people that have similar interests. I went to around 5 events, each time hoping that it would prove to be worth the money. Each event, as well, had an additional charge of at least $10. The only "free" events were things such as volleyball and softball, and even then one is expected to pay their on way for the drinks and food. So what exactly is the "membership fee" for. Everything that I was initially told in my interview was a blatant lie, and I was never given a copy of the contact I was asked to sign. I need help because I have seen all over google that this company will come after your credit, bank account, and repossess our things just for not paying for their scam. I disputed the two charges out of my account due to falsifying information and therefore, something that I did not consent to pay for.
