After participating in a similiar rip-off in Feb of this year wherein I did request a free trial of teeth whitener from a different named company, I have been very careful not to enter into any free advertisments. I did not see any advertisment or request anything from ever brite white.  I had never heard the name and I did not receive anything in the mail except a surprise on my bank statement showing that everbritewhite had charged my account twice in the amount of $84.47, followed by $.87 for conversion charges. for a total of $176.68. 


All I had was a phone number on the bank statement, which I called immediately.  It was answered by a service rep. "Karen Jones", the same name given by Karen from Oregon in her report.  I was given the same run around that she spoke of and did not receive the promised email.  I called back the next day and again talked to "K. Jones", with the same results.


On the third day I spoke with "Stacy" but her last name was "Jackson" rather than "Lopez", but she sounded like the same robot I had talked to previously.  They have the same information written down and repeat it over and over again.  The technique is called, "broken record", (a technique I taught participants to use in an assertiveness  workshop I used to give, where the individual uses that technique in an attempt to "get what they want.")   Stacy finally revealed to me that she was located in Hollywood, Fla.  She assured me that the e-mail had been sent but that she would cancel my subscription immediately and there would be  no more charges, of course I had already canceled my card though I did not tell her that.  She refused to talk to me about a refund but stated that I could not receive one because I had not called to cancel in the allotted time.  She turned a deaf ear to my insistance that I couldn't call to cancel since I hadn't ordered anything.  At my demand she finally forwarded me to her supervisor, who would listen to my request for a refund.  I held the phone for the supervisor for over ten minutes but of course, no one ever answered.  I will call again and again and practice my assertiveness. 


 I am very angry that our information is open to anyone who knows how to find it and is allowed to charge our accounts without our knowledge or permission.
