An annoying popup ad from Evidence Eliminator displays your own personal system & Internet information while claiming that your computer is being tracked by police who are gathering evidence from it, which puts you at a very high risk of further investigation. This popup ad appears to be their attempt to scare you into buying their $149 download.

Evidence Eliminator must assume that a high enough percentage of Internet users have something illegal or embarassing on their computer, otherwise why else would Evidence Eliminator use such a cheesy marketing tactic to try to panic people into buying their product?

If you haven't already seen it you can view your own personal popup ad at this url:

If anyone knows how Evidence Eliminator gets their popup to display your own information please post a reply and explain how.

Pop-ups

Evidence Eliminator destroyed my computer beyond repair!

As far as the previous post, I opened the link provided and nothing popped up. I have been on the Evidence Eliminator site several times, I purchased Evidence Eliminator & I have never encountered these pop-ups mentioned.

HOWEVER, Evidence Elimintor's customer service is horrible! When I first purchased & downloaded the program I emailed their customer service, just as they instructed if necessary, and they never responded.I emailed them again to see where my back-up CD was& they never responded.

After my 4th time of running the Evidence Eliminator program, it destroyed my operating system beyond repair. I was lucky enough to recover most of my filesafter about 16 hours of agony, a $129 fee but lost several non-recoverable downloads, program collections & had to buy a whole new pc system.

Evidence Eliminator is dangerous to use & be warned, they are in the UK so Americans are out of luck to recover anything.

As far as eliminating evidence, after running the scans I could still always see remnants of the original files...

Make your life easier & less costly, stay away from Evidence Eliminator!
