My car was parked in the street in front of my house legally parked. Because I live on a sharp curve I pull my car up the small curb to get my car off the street as much as possible so it will not get hit. I was towed because I was parked on the grass and the mobile home park I live in has a policy you cannot "park" in the grass. I had the police come out and they told me they do not have an ordinance for what I was doing. My tire was less than 3 inches over the grass in that I mean more of my tire was on the cement than in the grass so the cement was holding the tire not the grass. I have a pic and luckily it had rained so you can actually see in the pic the dry area where my tire was. I do want to include my neighbor has been parking the same way for years and I have a pic of their vehicle violating the same policy but has never been towed. I believe this tow was in retaliation for another incident that occurred recently with another vehicle I own Which is why I was towed and my neighbor wasnt.

99.9% of my car was legally parked and that is grounds to tow my car 20 miles to the impound yard and charge me 300 bucks for the tow. And you are able to sleep at night knowing you are part of this kind of snake in the grass tactics! I have pictures of 7 cars that day in major violation of parking on grass that nothing happened to them but MY car was the one that had to go. This was pure underhanded retaliation in my book. You can try to call scum by another name as much as you want but at the end of the day I am not the one in the shower hoping to get the disgust off me. Shame shame shame

Ok here's the thing, 1) no the city police would not have any rules on this as it is considered private property. 2) your park manager would have had to tell the tow company to tow the cars in the grass,and those rules usually come from corporate office of the property owner. 3) you also stated that you KNEW you are not to park on the grass. So this tow is your fault. NO PARKING IN GRASS MEANS NO PARKING ON GRASS.
