I am writing about an event company based in Granite City, IL called "Experiencing Imagination" or should I call it "Experiencing Crap with a Fresh Coat of Paint". If you are interested in doing an event which requires any type of equipment rental I advise you to stay away from this so-called company. Its owner is a snake of a man who lies to his employees and clients in any attempt to get their money.

The whole operation is a front for its owner to cheat his taxes. Quite honestly I'm not sure if ever intends to turn a profit on the business for such reasons. He is a snake of a man who double crosses everyone he comes in contact with. He must get sued multiple times a year. Google his name and see how he used deceptive business practices in another business venture. Link below.

http://www.madisonrecord.com/news/230204-twist-froyo-partner-sues-co-owner

All equipment that they rent is not as advertisted. Most is over 25 years old, but advertised as the latest and greatest. They have set up an area at the Illinois State Fair in the past. Let me just say be careful if you attend this as your children could get seriousy injured. I've seen it happen.

Vist the website and scoll to the bottom and see all the fake links he has to his fake event companies. WHAT A JOKE!

www.theeventline.com

Most of all DO NOT under any circumstance go to work for this company. Everyone is considered an independent contractor even though you are told what to do every single day. The bad part is that you will owe the government thousands come tax time.

#27 UPDATE Employee

Perfect BBB Record & Fastest Growth in the Industry

AUTHOR: TheEventLine.com - (USA)

POSTED: Monday, January 23, 2012

Addressing the continuing dishonest remarks of any angry terminated employee is of little value. The writer claimed to be owed wages and was told he may submit anything "missed" now. Yet nothing was filed. No unpaid wage is known. Writer reports DOL claims were filed, yet none were according to the DOL. He claims to closely know owners but does not. Through curses, profanities and false claims the writer has made his honesty and mentality perfectly clear. The actions resulting in his termination further demonstrated his integrity. No business can afford such a person. The Company will not hesitate to dismiss employees that do not perform honestly and professionally or treat and speak to customers, staff or stakeholders as he has. We understand he may distrust us, the BBB and the government as a result and hold everyone except himself to blame.

This forum has no integrity verification or identity requirement.  While the Company has taken every step to correct any actual errors on this terminated employee, he continues to disguises his identity and write as if multiple people. Truth in claims would start with truth in identity and integrity. We do agree a person should not work for us if they believe the claims of this writer or if they do not wish to be subject to the employee rules and requirements. For every job that becomes available, we receive 30-40 hiring requests. Honest, hard work and meeting our customers needs is a must.

We are happy to provide contact information to any customer claimed as supposidly having problems, objections or not existing. All have agreed to openly discuss the lack of integrity of the writers claims. Privacy and safe sanctuary policies prohibit hourly laborers from accessing customer, other Company records or be involved in the complaint process. We are proud of employee screening and employee policy. Moving away from the carnie or roadie problem-type employees often found in the event business, to those who are clean, friendly and who put the customer's needs first has been important to our continuing growth.  With over 2 million people using our equipment in the last 5 years, we have a perfect safety record and a zero claim rating by the insurance industry. Job success rating is 99%. Over 1500 clients in our reference list, not one has filed a BBB complaint against us. Our 0 complaint rating published on the BBB website. We realize many do not understand and cannot meet the BBB accreditation requirements and is one of the reasons why we are one of the few accredited in any of the markets we serve.

Our growth concerns competitors and our dismissal of unsatisfactory employees may result in hostile, false web reports on sites that have no verification or accuracy requirements.  SEO Valley Mgmt Svcs maintains webmaster@theeventLine.com and tracks this string. Responses will be automatic as it continues. We apologize for any inconvenience. We do want you to know you can receive information anytime at info@theeventline.com or by calling the company at 314-255-2882. Thank you!

Ex Employees

AUTHOR: Ex Employee - (United States of America)

POSTED: Sunday, January 22, 2012

I know for a fact there are several different ex employees posting on here.  Several college educated individuals along with unknown individuals.  The only person that is posting several rebuttals under different names is the owner of this company.  I did not start this post but have directed several ex employees to the site and know they have posted along with the unknown individual who started it.  This is to protect future problems with this company.  Several people along with myself are not willing to deal with the repercussions from the owner.  He has already attempted to sue several others for his mistakes.  The way employees and customers are treated is unacceptable and unethical.  Deal with him at your own risk.  I have been in the business a long time and have never seen any company treat its customer as if they do not matter, as well as employees.

Perfect BBB Record

AUTHOR: TheEventLine.com - (USA)

POSTED: Saturday, January 21, 2012

The writer has made his integrity and mentality perfectly clear and no business can afford such an employee. Our Company will not hesitate to dismiss employees that do not perform honestly and professionally or treat and speak to customers, staff or stakeholders as he does.

The Company offerred an opportunity for the individual to submit the payroll he claimed was missed. Nothing was submitted. We contacted the DOL to understand the claims he said was submitted. Nothing was filed. His claims against one of our owners, a person who does not work here and he as a hourly employee would not know have been intentionally wild, dishonest and inflamatory. The Company has taken every step to correct any actual errors on this disgruntled fired employee who makes false claims, curses in a public forum yet disguises his identity. Truth in claims would start with truth in identity.

We are happy to provide contact information to any customer our antagonist falsely lists as supposidly having problems, objections or not existing. Addressing the exaggeraged, incorrect remarks of an angry terminated employee is of no value. Our privacy and safe sanctuary policies prohibit minimum wage hourly laborers from accessing customer, other Company records or be involved in the complaint process which remains one of the lowest in the industry. We are proud of employee screening and employee policy. We have had no incidents of theft, drugs or child sexual harassment since it was implemented.  We have moved away from carnie or roadie problem-type employees often found in the event business, to those who are clean, friendly and who put the customer's needs first. Bureau of National Affairs indicates an average employee turnover rate is 14.4%, ours is less than 10% while our job growth is up 20%. With over 50 persons on payroll, there are no adverse findings by the Department of Labor (no unpaid or incorrect wages). With over 2 million people using our equipment in the last 5 years, we have a perfect safety record.

Over 1500 clients in our reference list, but not one has filed a BBB complaint against us. This fact is public record on the BBB website, as well as our 0 complaint rating during our existence. We realize many do not understand and cannot meet the accreditation process requirements and is one of the reasons why we are one of the few accredited in any of the markets we serve.

Re-posting and the BBB

AUTHOR: Josephal - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, January 21, 2012

Continually re-posting the same or a similar message is not constructive and not indicative of proper communications etiquette.

Also, your claim that you have no complaints with the BBB is misleading. The BBB has no "public" records - it is a membership organization. Also, in my personal experience with the BBB I have discovered that using the BBB as a reference is ridiculous, as they do not even abide by their own procedures, let alone operate in anything approaching an ethical manner.

Also, either your lawyer is incompetent or you are posting false legal references, as you cannot claim multiple online identities are the same person unless you first prove that they are in fact the same person. You cannot simply legally incorporate discrete identities as the same individual 'because you say so' - even if you suspect they are.

Furthermore, your actions - namely accusing an online identity or identities of being a particular "ex-employee" speak to bad customer service - good customer service would be attempting to identify the problem and make it right (and if the complaint is not really from the client, there will be no problem to fix). You should always assume complaints are legitimate until you can prove they are not - as opposed to the postings you have made which quite frankly sound nearly as paranoid and crazed as the supposed "ex-employee" you are responding to.

The complainer has made his integrity and mentality perfectly clear and no business can afford such an employee. Our Company will not hesitate to dismiss employees that do not perform honestly and professionally or treat and speak to customers, staff or stakeholders as he does. Even so, our ownership (who have never worked at the Company, whom he an hourly laborer does not know and who he has never spoken to for more than a few minutes) have agreed the Company will process any hours he says he failed to submit. He has yet to submit anything.

We are happy to provide contact information to any customer our antagonist falsely lists as supposidly having problems, objections or not existing. POSTED: Sunday, January 08, 2012

You have to be the most dillussional person on the planet. I wonder if you are a jackass on purpose or if you have a serious mental illness. No sane person could act like you do. You are the definition of a sociopath. Manipulative, grandiose sense of self, pathological lying, lack of remorse, shallow emotions....... YOU ARE NOT GOD! The fact that you say someone's permanent record will be impacted is nuts. Nobody will ever list you as a reference. Most will pretend to have never met you and distance themselves from the mistake of working for you. F**k yourself BOB

"Ex-Employee" claims false, but just turn in your timesheet even if 4 months late.

AUTHOR: Supervisor - (USA)

POSTED: Saturday, January 07, 2012

"Ex-Employee" is angry for getting let go and not being able to find another job. We understand this. He was on our recall list, but no longer can be. Bashing your employers is a huge red flag goes on your permanent record and can remove many future opportunities. "Ex-Employee" says "I know for a fact that in July over 10 people quit". "Ex-Employee" may be thinking of the 2 new supervisors who resigned before completing their probation and the three seasonal students left to go back to college. "Ex-Employee", seasonal employees who complete their periods counts for and not against a lower turnover rate. If you actually do a "double check with department of labor", despite your "knowing" there were no DOL complaints issued, again: none.

"Ex-Employee" you have claimed 2 or 3 times not to have been paid. When do you plan to turn in your timesheet? The manager you worked for says doesn't know what you are talking about. You have been paid for every timesheet turned in and he know of no more possible. You did sign the confirmation that you know the timesheet and payroll process and would keep a copy in case of any error. If you have any issues with payroll, send a copy of your timesheet to payroll@theeventline.com with an explanation. Keep your copy of your email and Company's autoresponse to timestamp your submission. In many months you claim to be unpaid, you have made no contact. No one has ever not been paid for what they have WORKED, but you do not get paid for breaks, going to bars or sleeping as many, including you, have tried to claim. While you have far exceeded the time to turn your timesheet and workplace support in - if you get this in now before 1/15/12 with no false hours or any other false claims, we will make sure it is processed. We wish you success in your future jobs. You do need to begin following the rules so you can break the cycle of losing jobs and then blaming others for your situation.

The lies of theeventline.com

AUTHOR: Ex Employee - (United States of America)

POSTED: Saturday, January 07, 2012

Lets start with how the turnover rate is as low as it is when i know for a fact that in July over 10 people quit.  But yet you have a 10% turnover rate.  You just said yourself you have over 50 so lets round to 50.  Thats a 20% turnover rate.  I am willing to bet that the entire kansas city branch quitting is not the only ones that had quit or got fired.  Second lets double check with department of labor.  There are several complaints against theeventline.com.  How do i know this because you owed me a pay check as well as several other employees that quit in June-July of 2011 so department of labor was contacted.  I encourage everyone looking to use this company or be employed by theeventline.com to do their research.

The Truth about theeventline.com

AUTHOR: Ex Employee - (United States of America)

POSTED: Thursday, January 05, 2012

First as an ex employee of theeventline.com in 2011 I can back up this so called Kenny.  When i was hired on Bob Hollingsworth he tried to discredit the past employees which is exactly what he is attempting to do here.  The equipment is not what is stated half the time and most the time there is something wrong with it.  We were constantly dealing with irate customers on a regular basis.  This was brought to his attention as well and he basically throws it aside.  When a customer wants a refund they have to send it to the board which consist of him.  They never get refunded only credited.  The worst part about it is that everyone that worked for him works 70-100 hrs per week during the season months.  If your an hourly employee he will take away the bonus (which you never were told about when hired).  Your pay consist of minimum wage plus a bonus to equal $9.00. (which isnt disclosed till you hit overtime) Also my hours were cut due to the fact that he didnt believe i worked the hours stated even when the manager is telling him i had.  Also i was shown a BBB report that a customer had filed on experiencing imagination( also known as theeventline.com it was owned by the same individual Bob Hollingsworth).  The tent they had ordered was made cheaply and ripped in a storm.  I have seen inflatables fall apart and mechanical bulls that are not grounded to anything( which could cause electrocution to the riders)   I left theeventline.com and never received my last paycheck which from what i hear happened to the whole crew and managers, seems how we all walked out at the same time.  I am going to encourage the rest of the crew to write new reports as well.  These are all facts no speculation or judgement only what i have seen and heard.

We have moved away from "Kenny" type carnie or roadie problem-type employees other found in the event business, to those who are clean, friendly and who put the customer's needs first. Bureau of National Affairs indicates an average employee turnover rate is 14.4%, ours is less than 10% while our job growth is up 20%.

Over 1500 clients in our reference list, but no one has ever filed a BBB complaint against us. Impossible if we were anything like the company "Kenny" and his personalities try to portray here.

Pipe Dreams

AUTHOR: Staff Policy. Watchout! - (USA)

POSTED: Friday, November 18, 2011

In colloquial usage, one who overestimates one's own abilities, talents, stature or situation is sometimes said to have 'delusions of grandeur'. This is generally due to excessive pride, rather than any actual delusions. ........................... For those who are employed or considering employment with this company read the staff policy http://personnel.theeventline.info/ 25 pages of legalese to rid the owner of any accountablility when something can and WILL go wrong. All of it seems a bit much for this small event company.

Highlights include: Pay periods shall be (1) from the 1st to the 15th and (2) from the 16th to the end of the month. The earliest pay delievery days on the 5th and 20th of each month. No request for verification of payment may be made until 12-hours after the employee's pay delievery time. -------------> translation= we have a hard time making payroll. Have fun getting two checks a month especially on "STANDARD WAGE"

STANDARD WAGE. The standard wage shall equal the minimum wage for their location of employment as listed by the U.S. Department of Labor online at http://www.dol.gov/esa/minwage/america BONUS WAGE. Employees may recieve a Bonus Wage in addition to the Standard Wage at the Company's sole discretion. LOSS of Bonus Wage may be for any reason determined by the Company. --------------> translation= if you are promised $10 an hour it could be cut to minimum wage without notice or reason at anytime

PERSONAL DAYS. After 6 months of service, each employee will receive 1 paid personal day per month of service. Personal Days are to be used for holidays, sick days and other personal purposes. Unless staff is needed for an event, required Personal Days are to be used on New Years Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christimas -------------> translation= You do not get paid vacation. Your vacation days are required to be used on holidays that the rest of the working world gets off. So after 6 months of slave labor you are allowed to get normal holidays off. what a deal!...... unless you are needed for an event that day of course

There is so much nonsense you'll have to read it all yourself, but that wont matter because...... Any or all of Staff Policy may be modified, changed or removed by Company at any time.

Stay far away.... just ask New Song Church

TheEventLine.com - perfect BBB record.

AUTHOR: TheEventLine.com - (USA)

POSTED: Thursday, November 17, 2011

"Kenny" and his different "personalities" continues to show confusion, obsession and delusion.

We will not be continuing this string and we are asking employees not to respond further. With over 1500 clients in our reference list, no one has ever filed a BBB complaint against us. Impossible if we were anything like the company "Kenny" portrays.

No non-existent foundations (Katee Hessler Foundation, kthesslerfoundation.org, is an excellent organization we are proud to support --- Kasey Hellyer has been our Sales Manager ~5 years), no employee names on our client list, no people working in basements, our business purchases are a matter of state record and no restrictions ever on our customers seeing equipment anytime, etc. We agree there are other good companies and invite everyone to compare selection, service and price. We expect our unique business strategy to keep us in double digit growth and our clients very pleased.

"Kenny" earned his dismissal and probably much more ---- no business can tolerate theft, sexual misconduct with children or continued dishonesty. Full details are available anytime from Richard Luberda, COO, at 314-255-2882. Richard can also help with questions why we are the leading full service event production company in each of the markets we serve: Atlanta, St. Louis and Kansas City.

TheEventLine.com webmaster will repeat this message as necessary, we apologize for any inconvenience.

New Names, Same Company

AUTHOR: Owner Strikes Again - (United States of America)

POSTED: Thursday, November 17, 2011

Vinyard Entertainment (http://efreeland.com/) - doesnt look like a whole lot of action there since 2003

Onsite Challenges a.k.a Earthtraces -biggest joke of a charitable foundation around

The owner continuously goes through cycles of names and locations just to cover the tracks of all the bad business that follows in their wake.

Over 1000 great references: TESTIMONIAL "An AMAZING event! A blast! Great event! ROCKS!" (K.Hessler Fdtn) ....taken off theeventline.com -Is that the same K Hessler that was your "secretary"...... seems a bit made up to me. No K Hessler Fdtn exists. And what kind of teenage girl testimonal is that. If you want to make fake references, make them seem real

You are all invited to come check out the equipment...... however -"While items are stored on pallet racks and cannot be taken down or setup for inspection, you are invited to make an appointment to visit our warehouses and see the great variety of equipment available." (from theeventline.com) ..........this is because you might notice its pretty crappy if you see it out of storage

62sports is a professional event company. Make sure you call them first

TheEventLine.com remains the best choice.

AUTHOR: Jay - (United States of America)

POSTED: Thursday, November 17, 2011

We see "Kenny" is at it again again. "Kenny" continues to write with no identity, using the same profane words as before. No we will not pay you $500. You were correctly fired as confirmed by the Department of Labor. In the 2+ years since we combined Vinyard Entertainment, Atlanta Rent-A-Tent, Experiencing Imagination and Onsite Challenges we have not had a complaint about our casino tables. We do not know about the operations before this, but equipment is outstanding and our business is growing significantly even in this time of poor economy due to service, selection and price.

The truth is everyone is always encouraged to come in an see any equipment before hand. We do not expect anyone to order something for hundreds or thousands of dollars sight unseen. Compare our equipment to any other providers --- we do more high-end jobs than any other in our service region. Over 30,000 great items are available compared to 5,000 the industry average. We remain the only major provider to have free 3rd party dispute resolution to make sure everyone is always treated fairly. Over 1000 great references are listed on our website. The only major provider to guaratee best pricing.

We expect "Kenny" may continue. A complaint that offers a false name, no identity or means of contacting (or even a means for us to resolve a valid complaint) is usually false. We can be contacted anytime at info@theeventline.com or toll-Free: (888) 254-6535. References and testimonials are always available online.

Rented Once, Never Again

AUTHOR: Was Burned Once - (United States of America)

POSTED: Wednesday, November 16, 2011

Where should I begin? When they finally deliver what you ordered expect a pleasant surprise. Nothing on their website is the actual equipment. I ordered a row of "real casino used" slot machines for my casino night. To my dismay I received 4 cheap japenese "teken" slot machines that didnt even work. My roulette table was falling apart and looked like a converted broken banquet table. My blackjack tables were held together by their cup holders. All in all if you want dirty, cheap, overpriced crap visit http://www.theeventline.com for your next event. Things may have changed over there, but I wont risk my event again to find out.

Valid Complaint Against Company

AUTHOR: Owner Strikes Again - (United States of America)

POSTED: Wednesday, November 16, 2011

I stumbled on this report doing a google search..... I worked for this nightmare of a company for a few months one summer. The guy who owns it, never left his basement. He just made crazy demands over the phone to his managers. All of his "managers" seemed like scumbags. My short time working there was like joining a group of chickens with their heads cut-off. Never encountered a person who enjoyed working for that company. I do recall the equipment being aged and extremely dirty. I also find it humorous that the other 3 rebuttals seem like they are from the same person, written on the same day. Probably all from the owner........... cowering in his basement trying to cover his tracks.

TheEventLine.com excellent - "Kenny" not so much.

AUTHOR: Jay - (United States of America)

POSTED: Tuesday, November 08, 2011

As a company manager, I know "Kenny" (as he calls himself now) has filed these fake complaints before. This one comes after he asked for $500 last month or "else" he would "ruin us". RipOffReport should not be a vehicle for extortion attempts. A criminal complaint will be filed, but "Kenny" has already gotten away with much more.

As one who worked for Experiencing Imagination before TheEventLine.com bought it in late 2009, we all were very aware of "Kenny" during his few months of employment and we were glad to see him and a few others in a theft ring fired. A company van "disappered" during this employment. It was found at a junk yard with a payment receipt made out to him. (Two other trucks are still missing!) Then customers complained he and 3 others were sexually hassassing children at events he worked. His few months with the Company were very distructive, probably criminal, still our owners refused to press charges only dismissing him quietly. But do a criminal background check on his name and you will find he never should work for anyone - unfortunately his bad behavior and lies go on throughout his life.

TheEventLine.com is an excellent company with a wonderful record of returning over 10% of its income back to the church and community in grants and events. Sure in the 1,000 events we do a year we have some errors. Most of the time our customers never know because of the work we do behind the scenes to correct (including working all night on breakdowns). Our company also has the only free 3rd party mediation system in the industry, so everyone is always treated fairly on any issue. We are proud of our equipment and the service we provide - in this year alone over 2 million people have used our equipment in the events they attended - nearly a 100% increase even in this time of economic downturn. We have a 100% safety record (loss claim records are posted on the web for everyone to see) and over 30,000 items in our inventory compared to the industry average of 5,000. As for quality, absolutely come in anytime and see it for yourself, everyone is welcome to see why we are proud of what we have built and why we are now one of the fastest growing event production company in the U.S.

TAKE IT ELSEWHERE

AUTHOR: James - (United States of America)

POSTED: Tuesday, November 08, 2011

Sounds like it is more "Kenny" the fired employee trying to Rip-Off his old employer here. In any case, this is not a Rip-Off report should not have been published in this forum. This is not a place for spouting off against people who fired you (but if you stole anything from them you absolutely deserved it). This forum is to report valid examples of when goods or services were paid for and not delivered. "Kenny" needs to take it elsewhere.

"KENNY" FIRED 2 YEARS AGO FOR THEFT....

AUTHOR: TheEventLine.com - (USA)

POSTED: Tuesday, November 08, 2011

"KENNY" (a false name and not his real name as he claims) was fired over 2 years ago for theft. We understand he remains unemployed and has become obsessed with the previous Company owner that fired him. He has never been a customer and has no information about our business, its equipment, safety or taxes. The company he names at one of our warehouse addresses with a false phone number has not existed since being sold to us in October 2009. TheEventLine.com, Inc. owns these assets and has a 100% safety record, has never had a contractor/employee and have a 30,000 item inventory that is one of the newest and best in the industry and is the fastest growing event business in the U.S. due to our hi-density event warehousing concept and the great selection and pricing it provides.

We have used RipOff Report ourselves to report an overseas company that did not deliver an order we paid in advance for. It is a valid warning, backed by actual documentation and intented to correctly warn others. It is unfortunate this same business tool can be used to make distorted, baseless claims to further ones false obsessions.
