Eyeglass World Poor quality glasses, poor service, a ripoff to consumers Brookfield Wisconsin

I bought 2 pair of glasses from Eyeglass world. They were very nice looking frames, and I was very happy with them when I ordered them.

When I received them, however, the clerk just handed me the glasses and walked away. I had to call him back and ask him to fit the glasses for me -- so they fit correctly on my face. Every other time I've bought glasses (and I've worn them for 30 years), they have always immediately fit the glasses when they bring them out. This clerk acted like I was asking for something unusual, and did the fitting very grudgingly. When I asked for an adjustment because one of the earpieces felt like it would rub and hurt after a while, he was mad.

When I get a new prescription, my eyes always have a little trouble adjusting to it, and everything looks sort of distorted for a few hours. I wore one of the new glasses for several days and got used to it, and then switched to the other one. The second one appeared to be a different prescription than the first, because everything was distorted just as it is when I get a new prescription! I had bought both pairs at the same time, with the same rx. They should have been identical, but were not.

I went back a few months later to get new plastic nose pieces. The ones that came with the glasses were small, and constantly slid down my nose. I asked for the larger, non-slip ones that I've had for years with my other glasses. They said that these frames had unusual nose pieces, and they would have to special order it, and it would take a month. I went back to the last place I had gotten glasses (Lens Crafters), and they replaced them in 2 minutes....

Finally, after having these glasses not quite 2 years, I was cleaning them this morning when the nose piece just snapped in the middle. I was told they were titanium frames when I bought them. Titanium shouldn't snap like that! I have had MANY normal metal frames over the years never, and have never had any of them break.

Overall, I am VERY dissatisfied with Eyeglass World. The service after the purchase was poor, and the quality of the product was poor.
