eyeglassworld treats it's employees like prostitutes, apparently they think they are paying you, so they can screw you anytime they want.they beleive they are above the law, in licensed states it is required to have a licensed optician working at all times the stores are open. they have broken this law in every licensed state they are in, they feel they only need inexpirenced help because they are cheaper, like hiring people to run entire regions that have no optical experience with no knowledge of optics the law or anything todo with eyewear, in some cases they come from tire stores or movie rental companies. when you work for them you try very hard to make the customer happy but you can't no matter how you try because they make it impossibe to do so. they don't send you what is ordered which is bait and switch, they have very little staff so it is impossible for the stores to receive their orders. i even tried to be honest and got in trouble for doing so. a perfect example is, in the state i worked in there were only 4 licensed opticians 2 were full time 2 were part time , 1 of the full time licensed was myself the other was a salaried manager, after 1 year and 1/2 i was reduced to part time my vacation, sick time, insurance was all taken away from me which leaves 1 fulltime optician, 3 parttime. now realize their stores are open 7 days a week aprox 10 hours per day how can they be following the law. do they rip off the customers? yes! do they realize that these are the people that pay their bills? obviously not !! if they realized how important that the customer are they wouldn't work so hard to piss them off!!!! i have worked for some very fine companies, and i just can not believe i lowered myself to work for people like this, i am ashamed of myself for working for what in my opinion are theives and liers, everything you read about them is true i have heard it and seen it all, i just can not believe that i was so stupid that i thought i could change the way they do business, you can not change people like eyeglassworld you can only walk away. i hope by writing this have at lease saved someone from the grief i've been through, but at least i know all my eyeglassworld customers were happy and they know i told the truth even if they didn't want to hear it was going to be at least 3 to 5 weeks before their glasses would be ready.
