ON MAY 02,2006 MY WIFE AND I WERE INVITED TO FAIRFIELD RESORTS. WE WERE IMPRESSED WITH THE SKYLINE TOWER! WE SAT WITH THE PEOPLE AS WE EXPLAINED TO THEM THAT WE JUST BOUGHT A CAR AND WE CAN'T AFFORD IT. SO THEY WORKED OUT A PAYMENT PLAN THAT SOUNDED TO GOOD TO BE TRUE. SIGNED AND CLOSED THE DEAL. WE THOUGHT ABOUT IT WHEN WE HOME AND MY WIFE DID THE MATH AND FOUND OUT WE THROWING AWAY MORE MONEY THEN WE HAD.

ON MAY 9TH MY WIFE DROVE TO ATLANTIC CITY CANCEL THE MEMBERSHIP. MY WIFE IS NOW TAKING OVER THIS REPORT! I ARRIVED IN ATLANTIC CITY ONLY TO BE TOLD BY BOB THE DOWNPAYMENT MANAGER," LAS VEGAS HAS YOUR CHECKS AND THERE IS NOTHING I CAN DO TO TELL YOU CALL FOR AN EXTENSION." I DIDN'T WANT AN EXTENSION I WANT TO CANCEL BUT I ONLY HAD 7 DAYS TO CANCEL AND I WAS ONE DAY OFF! SO FAR THEY HAVE TAKEN ABOUT $1200 FROM US. SO WE TRIED TO BOOK A ROOM FOR THE FIRST WEEK OF AUGUST ONLY TO BE TOLD THERE ARE NO ROOMS ANY KIND AVAILABLE. IS THIS WHAT I HAVE TO PAY A MORTAGE FOR WHEN DON'T THE MONEY?

NOW WE FELL INTO HARDSHIP AND FILE WITH LAS VEGAS ONLY TO BE DENIED THIS IS TRULY GREEDY OF THEM WHEN THEY KNEW MY HUSBAND WASN'T WORKING AND I HAD SUPPORT A HOUSEHOLD OF 6 WITHOUT BENEFITS. WHILE FAIRFIELD CONTINUES TO SERIOUSLY OVERDRAFT MY BANK ACCOUNT FROM MONTH TO MONTH AND NOW WE CAN BARELY PAY OUR RENT AND BUY FOOD BECAUSE OF THEIR GREED.

WE HAVEN'T VACATION YET SINCE MAY 2,2006 - AUGUST 29,2006 WHERE IS OUR MONEY WE INVESTED? INSTEAD THEY ARE SENDING US INTO THE COLLECTIONS FOR SOMETHING WE NEVER GOT TO USE! OUR CREDIT CARDS ARE ALWAYS LATE BECAUSE WE ARE PAYING THIEVING TIMESHARES THAT ARE,"RIPPOFFS"!

damage control

AUTHOR: Joe - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, December 19, 2006

Watch out fairfield is on damage control. madison hit several of Fairfield's rip off reports early monday 12/19/06. come on even if you are one of the few goog ones you know your co-workers lie and or mislead on a regular basis. If not you should look were all over the net. The truth is that it is allmost impossible to get help from fairfield. At least it was when I worked there. Not to mention most salesmen leave out many of the fees while enticing and rushing to sign. Don't feel bad this company survives off of people like you

Why sign the contract when you cant afford it?

AUTHOR: Michelle - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, December 18, 2006

It's not Fairfields fault you signed the contract when you couldnt afford it, you could have just said no. Your finances are your responsibility. If you are so hardoff with your family of 6, then why put down 1200 dollars when u couldnt do it? think before acting, its as simple as that. and what time did u show up on may 9th? remember 7 days exactly down to the minute, so if your in contracts may 2nd at 5pm and show up may 9th at 7 pm, its too late. bottom line you are in control of your own destiny.

fairfield is the way to go to save money vacationing and vacation bigger better and more often, but if you truly cant aford it at that time, then why put you and your family in jeopardy? clearly this was not fairfields fault you are just suffering from buyers remorse. please for the future - save you and your family headaches and do some budgeting. nobody held a gun to your held, and in the end your in control of that hand signing that contract and saying yes, which you did.

if your that unhappy and need help, call fairfield, they help in times of need, and worst case scenario remember with a deed you can rent it, share it, sell it, ect.....make ur money work for you!!

Opt-Out Period

AUTHOR: Mark - (Bermuda)

POSTED: Monday, October 23, 2006

Read through all the documents carefully. In one section it refers to the opt-out period and states that Saturday, Sunday and legal holidays are not included. This means you have more than the stated number of calendar days, because non-business days are not included.

TAKE ACTION!!!

AUTHOR: Krystle - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, September 06, 2006

You need to contact the better business bureau. Many times the bureau will send them a notice and they will not want to proceed with any problems, so they will offer to refund your money. This was my case with Split Rock in Pa. Definately contact consumer affairs. Anything that you send the resort letters or anything, send certified.

You are inside the 7 days cooling off period, not off of it.

AUTHOR: Helen - (Canada)

POSTED: Tuesday, September 05, 2006

Hi, Donald:

You signed your contract on May 2, you had 7 days to cancel the contract, you did cancellation on May 9, it was the 7th day, not one day off. To count the day started the 2nd day from signing the contract, not from the same day when you signed the contract. Therefore, you have the right to get all you money back.

In Ontario, we have 10 days cooling off period, I am sure it started from the 2nd day after you sign your contract. I learned it from my own experience. Let me know the rule of your state.

Good luck
