Family Credit Counceling Corporation BEWARE FAMILY CREDIT COUNCELING CORPORATION IS A SCAM RUN BY CROOKS Lauderdale Lake Florida

In 2001, i consolidated my credit cards to about $9000. I have joined Family Credit Counceling Corporation because they said that they were a non-profit organization. I was really keen to take appropriate measure to lower my debt, especially as a university student in California. Tuition can be very expensive.

They told me that i will have my deposit back once i complete and pay off all my debt. I didn't see any problem with this. I went and signed their agreement.

Problem 1
-They deduct my account each month, but they are always late at paying my creditors. As a result, my credit card companies keep charging me for late fees. I called FCCC a few times. They said that they will call me back but they never did.

I had to call the credit company and use my own money to pay off the charges.

-This has happen again several time and times again. I was so upset. The credit card probably charge me about $800. I was frustrated. FCCC customer service never return my call and keep deducting my money every month.

I have also reported to Better Business Bureau

Problem 2
-I have emailed several times to FCCC, and they have never replied.

Problem 3
-I called them several times and the line takes about 1.5 hours to get a real person.

Problem 4
-After graduation, i landed a good job. Finally, i was able to make some good money and pay off my debt. The problem is that you will not get you DEPOSIT BACK FROM FCCC. The excuse is that i have paid off my debt too early.

AGAIN, YOU WILL NOT GET YOUR DEPOSIT FEE ONCE YOU PAY OFF YOUR DEBT.
