#3 Consumer Suggestion

FCNB website is still working

AUTHOR: Shawna - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, February 09, 2004

Trish-

Sorry none of my other suggestions regarding making payments to FCNB worked, but I do have a bit more info that may help:

The FCNB website at www.cardmemberservices.net is still up and running, and still allows you to review your account, make online payments, and change your address. I just visited the site today and made a payment, so I know that it is working. About a month ago, I also received the "invalid account number" message while trying to log in. I backed out several times and kept entering my log in info, and on the fourth try it let me enter. I think that the site is either experiencing on and off problems, or does not allow access to accounts during the times they perform updates. I would also suggest that when calling the customer service number you ask them to look up your account by using your social security number. This worked for me right after the transition when account numbers were being changed. The website also offers the number 1-877-875-8078 as a customer service number, have you tried this number? I have also included the address that you can write to if you have a problem with your account... hopefully this works if all else fails! Good luck, and please update if the problem is solved.

Who should I contact regarding payment or billing errors?

All inquiries must be submitted to us in writing at P.O. Box 922788, Norcross, GA 30010-2788. Please include a copy of your statement, if available, indicating the payment or charge in error. Also, please include a daytime phone number at which we can contact you if we need further information.

The address to mail payments and websites no longer help

AUTHOR: Trish - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, February 07, 2004

Apparently you are not YET having the same problems that many are. (But you will if you had an account with FCNB). I too, was able to make payment in these 3 ways, however, that was only a week ago and now there are too many problems. The problem here is you are giving information that many of us already have. The address to mail payments and websites no longer help. The phone number does not either because if you give them any information that they ask for, they say accounts are invalid and then they say they will transfer you, only to hang up. Isn't there ANY NEW information to take care of this insane problem??
