Federal Credit, got letter on a bogus debt /pay or we will turn you into the irs Ripoff Colleyville Texas

I received a letter from Federal Credit Corp on 1/26/06 saying I owe Amerian General Finance $ 4399.26 This is the first letter ever recieved from this company. I never did business with American General Finance. They do not appear on my credit reports. The letter state they want 50% by 3/07/06 or it will trigger a report to the IRS under 20 USC 605p form 1099c. I call the IRS and according to the agent it appears to be a scam and they have not meet the requirments to file the form. I wonder how may people have recieved these bogus claims
and pay to make the IRS go away.The owner of the company
was fined by the SEC for securites fraud in NY. If someone reads the letter fast they could belive they are a federal agency, and signed by Jack taylor ( COLLECTION AGENT ) I have filed a report with the FTC and will file with other agency to stop the fraud.
