Fictitious Business Name Renewal Center Fictitious Business Name Expiration Notice - seemed like I had to renew within 10 days or it would expire, siting California law, giving the impression it was my cost or fee for renewal of the name. Sacramento, California

This billing made me believe I had to pay them to renew my business fictitious name.  It sited business codes, California law, and to comply I had to renew ($100) since it was about to expire. I was about to pay it when I decided to read it very carefully. I decided that perhaps it was not legit. 

 I went to the state site and saw that it was not expiring for another six months and that I could download an application and pay $27.  When I checked the company name, I saw it was not the state site and also saw a site warning about this same name.  I found ripoff site and decided I needed to warn others as well.
