Just like everyone else  that has filed i received a letter stating call to activate the check before depositing into my checking account and send the majority to someone through westeren union and the 50 dollars to get what i want. Well yeah i was excited about it i was thanking GOD and everything. Well something told me that i needed to make sure i called and the number before doing anything. I got a recording after attempting to call the number a few more times i know it was a scam. I was so excited because i have bills that i need to pay and this was the answer to my prayers no wrong.

This company needs to be shut down becasue they are getting families that are having hard times and trying to make it in this economy that need the money like me. Please inform friends and family and maybe with enough of us writing someone will investigate this company and shut them down. I still have the check and i going to fnd out what are my options on pressing charges....becasue this is ridculous.

"  This company needs to be shut down  "
"  someone will investigate this company and shut them down.  "

It's not a company.  It's just a scammer sending out fake checks, hoping someone will send back untraceable cash.   You can be sure that the phone numbers will trace back to Internet or throwaway cell phones.  If an email is involved, it'll originate from a public access source.   It doesn't take much to conceal your identity in one of these scams.

" I still have the check and i going to fnd out what are my options on pressing charges....becasue this is ridculous.  "

Ridiculous indeed.  Just shred the check and move on.  You can't press charges because you have no idea where the check came from.  Most likely from outside the country, in order to further complicate any law enforcement efforts to trace the scammers.

This scam relies on people believing that a valid check worth thousands is going to show up in there mailbox from someone they've never met.    Realize that in real life, that doesn't happen.  Can you imagine how easy it would be to scam a company that did send valid check to unknown people from the Internet?    If you want to inform your family and friends, tell them to be suspicious of opportunities to make "easy money".   Scammers like this depend on your greed overriding your common sense.
