Scam Artist. Met in Las Vegas in April 2011 at a round table discussion with a consultant group for the Hard Rock Hotel about how to improve the hotels services.
A few months later he contacted me about a possible investment in Pre-Ipo shares of Groupon Stock.
He stole $25,000 that was supposed to go to stock purchase which of course he had no access to. (he has a very good working knowledge of how the purchase of stocks/securities works. I contacted a couple brokers before investing the money and told them the things he told me and it all checked out even though one of them told me to be careful because they couldn't find his name on a registered brokers list. Should've listened)
It was very shortly after I invested the money that I determined it was a scam by a few things he said in some conversations after the fact. I didn't let on at first hoping if he kept contacting me It would be easier to locate him. However, local authorities were useless. They kept saying they were working on it but never came up with anything so eventually I got frustrated and told him I was on to him to return the money. Of course he had an explanation, excuses, etc for everything and said he would return the money. Of course he never did and eventually quit responding to my calls/texts/emails.
If anyone has had contact with him or knows his whereabouts please contact me.

The only way to curtail fraud of this nature is to get complaints documented, and, going in the right direction. In this case both the Las Vegas division of the FBI, and, the SEC need to be informed.

I met this guy in Arizona before he was arrested. He was pretending to be a relative of John Gotti. I went out with him but noticed hehas a short fuse. He kept pestering my phone and calling me names, when i wouldnt go out with him again. I decided to research his phone number and foud his last name was Cardone. This makes perfect sense now and why he couldnt explain what he got arrested for. I plan on going to the cops if he continues to harrass me but onve I told him I knew his lasr name, he stopped. His phone # (312) 206-4311. I hope I dont get in trouble for posting his number but he has made the past few days miserable for me.

Filippo Cardone (phil Cardone) was picked up last week in Arizona and was extradited to Las Vegas last week. He has a court date sheduled for case # 12F166064x on 10/01/2013 at 9am for a prelim hearing... his attorney is richard a.
