i seen a commercial on tv that said that i can have a computer and credit was not a problem i just needed a checking account. i gave her my account information and she said that all i have to do is send a voided check and i would recieve my computer in a week. i didn't get my computer then they began to draft 71.98 every other week and later sent papers saying that if i wanted to cancel it would be $175. i then called back to see why my computer havent arrived and the sales rep said that i would have to make 6 consecutives payments before it would come. i have only made four and havent heard anything from them. i dont think that i will receive a computer and after seeing all of the complaints from this website about the same situation. i want to know if i close my bank account will they still be able to get payments from me if i cancel with them and close my bank account please help! me will my idea work? what should i do? i hope anyone else goes through this.

Here proof you are lying

PURCHASE PLAN: Dell Preferred Account: Offered by CIT Bank to qualified U.S. residents with approved credit. Creditworthiness determined by lender. Taxes, fees and shipping charges are extra and vary. Monthly payment based upon pre-rebate price. *NO INTEREST PROMOTIONAL FEATURE: FOR WELL QUALIFIED CUSTOMERS,* as determined by lender. Available on purchases of $500 or more made from October 1, 2004 through October 28, 2004. Interest accrues during the promotional period and will be added to your account if balance not paid by April 1, 2005. Minimum monthly payments are required. For accounts not paid in full by April 1, 2005, account balance and new purchases will be subject to the Standard Rate (14.49% - 16.49% variable APR, as of August 23, 2004 depending on creditworthiness).

It states 14.49% - 16.49% variable APR, which means that depending on your credit you can pay in between that APR. Your company claims they sell Dell computers, don't they. I'm not picking up Dell but they are a better company than Financing Alternative, hands down. Keep defending F Alternatve till you reach the unemployment line.I never missed a payment and if I called Financing a thousand times a day I had every right to, because you company's bank was taking money out of my accont every two weeks. I can't be late with a payment, when it was coming straight out my bank account, you have no sense what so ever. When I called up financing Alternative the computer I was paying so much money for wasn't even a name brand. Your company is going to closed down soon enough, so keep on praising this company bad customer service and stupid prices.

Were you late on payments? Did you call a million times over the day after the three months were paid? We must be doing something right if BLUE HIPPO is wanting to copy us and we've been in business for seven years. If you called on numerous occasions, of course a red flag would go up. We're dealing with people that have bad credit everyday, and there is a reason why it is bad. BECAUSE THEY ARE ALWAYS LATE OR NEVER PAY! So yeah, maybe you didnt get paper work back, but the VERBAL RECORDING statess. "IF YOU AGREE THIS VERBAL AGREEMENT IS LEGALLY BINDING AND NON REFUNDABLE, SAY OK!" and if you said OK then that is all that is needed. That allows the bank to draft the money to us. We dont go into anyones account and do it ourselves. You state that you only made "four" of the "SIX" required payments. The company alots money for people to get a computer, so of course it is non refundable. You said you could get a computer with minor upgraded stats for 1800? Did you include the 28 percent finance rate that DELL puts in thier financing? Do the math, and call us back.

First of all I ordered a computer directly from DEll before, and it was a brand new DESKTOP Computer(Flat screen panel monitor,CPU, keyboard, mouse, 4 in 1 color printer and digital kodak camera the total price was $1800 with with 2 years at home warranty, shipping and handling included in the total, etc. I don't know where you got that crap from about Dell computer being so expensive everybody sees the commercial for DELl on television. People can take $35.00 and save it for six months and get a better computer from somewhere else rather than put up Financing Alternative. The customer service reps are rude and is ridiculous for your company not to give people their money back if they don't want to get the computer, that is bad customer service. Why the hell would a company want to keep some one's money if the no longer want the product. I did business with Financing Alternative and I'm glad I got all my money back, I mean every single penny. Every time I see the commercial I just laugh at it and say "One day there will be no Financing Alternatives to rip people off. The claimed after 3 months payment, I would get the computer and five months past and no computer, there was always some lame stupid excuse. Mark my words you will have to look for another job, because your company is practicing fraud for withdrawing money from people's account , when they didn't even signed anything. The computer is not even a name brand and and all of your coworkers and George Christian can go straight to hell.

This company does not rip off people, nor do they falsify any informaion.

AUTHOR: Joey - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, September 24, 2004

It is quite hard to believe the people who write on this. I am a current employee of this compay, and will continue as long as I can. This company does not rip off people, nor do they falsify any informaion. It is up to the customer to understand how we work, and it is explained clear, REPEATEDLY, throughout the call. We do not check credit. That is true. We sell brand new dell computers. That is true. They are NOT refurbish, used, or any of the sorts. In the program, we ask that customers build a payment history. That shows thier credit worthiness (we have no idea how they are credit-wise the past 5 to 7 years). They have to do three months worth of ON TIME payments. We state this at the beginning of the call, a supervisor makes it clear when they verify the information, and then again said in the verbal recording. So, if the caller doesn't pay attention, it isn't our fault they didn't. The verbal recording is what authorizes us by the caller, to be able to draft thier account, by them saying "OK". Sometimes paperwork is delayed for whatever reason, but it does not mean we can't/won't draft the account. Once those three months of payments are met, the system is ordered through DELL computers, tested and shipped out. Those who miss any of the payments within the three months are in breech of the verbal agreement. It is not our fault whether your account has no money. You agreed to those terms. There is no dishonesty, just bad listeners who call us. The only thing you get in a week, is your MEMBERSHIP PACKAGE.

As far a pricing, we are a FINANCING company. Of course it is going to be a little higher than a cash price, but this is far from a 500 dollar computer. If you put this system together on DELL's site, you're looking at over 1200 dollars. For 500 dollars you get a basic computer with no monitor from DELL and that includes a 28 percent intrest rate, making it well over 2 grand by the time you are finished the 3-4 years. Thats why our program is great. One year and you are done.

I'm sorry for those who say they were "screwed" over. No company is perfect, but we can't help if you dont listen, read, and relax a little. If you want dishonesty, go to blue hippo and really be over charged for a gateway. Thier president has all kinds of legal action happening right now....

You can get your money back!

AUTHOR: Camoya - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, September 17, 2004

The first thing you have to do is call you bank and file a claim stating, that you have seen suspicious activies on your account and that you need them to place a stop payment. You have to let your bank know that you want your money back.
