Finest Motors Car Buyer Beware..deceit....wrecked cars!Cleveland Ohio

I found a car being sold by Finest Motors on the internet. The car was over 700 miles away from where i live so i knew i would have to fly there to purchase it so i made sure to ask questions about the car before booking my ticket. I specifically asked Alex (owner) if the car had been wrecked or painted before agreeing to purchase the vehicle from him. Alex informed me that it hadn't and i pulled a car fax to make sure. My father has been in the business for 30 years so i know what to look for when looking to buy a car. I flew up there(one way) and when I arrived at the dealership i did a look over of the car. After looking at it it was very obvious that the the car had been in a major accident and the entire passenger side, rear and front of the car had body work done and had been repainted. When i called Alex attention to that he said that he had never noticed it. When i pressed him about it he said that they dont always look at the cars that they buy (B.S.) I then asked him, "You dont look at the cars you buy"? He said if they make sense we buy them. The paint work was horrible...I told Alex that i was not going to buy the car because of the previous damage and that he should have been honest with me before i spent the money to fly up there. He asked if i was buying the car for resale and i said that resale would be important to me. He then went on to say that the car had a clean car fax so i didnt have to disclose that the car had been painted. I told him that if i had knowledge of that i would have to disclose that to the next buyer because that car had been wrecked. he said, "well the cars not wrecked now so you dont have to worry about it". This is the exact type of experience that make people think so lowly of used car people. He misrepresented the car, wasted my time and money and the end result is that i still do not have a car to drive. This was a lexus is250, 2007 model and not some cheap car. On top of everything else Alex refuses to give my $500 deposit back because he said he had to take the car off ebay for 2 days so he was keeping that for his troubles. I wanted to write this report to potentially save another consumer the grief of dealing with this fly by night company. The vin number for this lexus is JTHBK262072036159. BUYER BEWARE!
