I brought in my vehicle with a coupon to have the brakes replaced on one axial.  This should have been an easy morning job and I was the first one in the shop.  It was 7:00am.  At 11:00 I was informed my brake hoses were badly cracked and should be replaced.  I agreed.  At 1:00pm I walked to the shop and was told the job would take another 2 hours.  At 4:00pm I phoned about the status of repair and was told they were waiting on brake pads from the auto parts store.  I thought to myself why are they putting on brake pads now?  Shouldn't this have already been done?  At 6:30pm I walked to the shop and was phoned in route that the vehicle was ready.  An advertised job for $89 turned into $330.  I'm mad about that but am really mad about waiting 11 hours to have brake pads installed and also mad about the deceptive excuses used by the manager to warrant the delays.  There went my whole day because I couldn't got anywhere.  No apologies from the manager.  I am never going back to this auto repair shop.

I didn't expect free

AUTHOR: Thomas - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, July 17, 2012

Of course I didn't expect the additional service to be free.  Read the main point of the report - I'm mad because a simple brake pad and hose replacement took 11 hours and the manager was shady about why.  What happened between 7:00am and 4:00pm?  First I was informed that the hoses would be installed in 2 hours then I'm told they're waiting on the pads at 4:00pm.

Get it?

You authorized additional service. Did you expect the additional service to be free?
