Firestone Complete Auto Care (Southwest Ranches, FL) price gouging Southwest Ranches Florida

Took my car for an AC inspection with AC cooling very little. Received car back with AC actually blowing warm air which I found "odd" for such a drastic change. The total repairs' estimate was $2,600 including $1,300 for parts. I Googled the parts listed in the estimate and found they were available for about 1/3 the price at known and reputable auto parts stores.

For example, the exact same compressor this shop quoted at $940, was available (same brand) from local and internet stores for prices ranging from $290 to $400). Long story short, I ended up making all the repairs for $740 (parts and labor included).

I understand businesses are in to make a profit but this is not profit, it's taking advantage of the consumer. This sort of behavior is beyond offensive to society. Shame on you Firestone.
